Instead of calling numbers, Music Bingo plays short clips of songs, and players match the song titles on their bingo cards. It’s part game night, part singalong, and a surprisingly fun way to spend an evening with friends and neighbors. One of the current hotspots for Music Bingo is Johnny’s Lounge in San Antonio Tlayacapan, where community fundraisers and social events regularly bring people together.

In the newest Living La Vida Lakeside video, I attended a Music Bingo fundraiser supporting the Chapala Fire Department to see what all the buzz was about. Between the relaxed atmosphere, a great chicken dinner, and plenty of familiar music from multiple decades, it was easy to see why Music Bingo has become such a popular Lakeside activity. Winning wasn’t guaranteed—but the sense of community definitely was.
