Behind the Scenes in Ajijic

In early February, Ajijic hosted the Mextranjero 2026 creator meet-up — bringing together 14 YouTube channels from across Mexico and beyond.

From the outside, events like this can look polished and effortless. Cameras are set up. Collaborations happen. Videos get posted.

But what really happens behind the scenes?

Over the course of the weekend, creators filmed joint interviews, shared technical tips, exchanged stories about life in Mexico, and built connections that go far beyond YouTube.

Some of the most meaningful moments didn’t happen while filming at all — they happened in between.

The conversations.
The shared meals.
The honest discussions about what works… and what doesn’t.
