Jalisco is the birthplace and cultural heart of Mariachi. Recently, the municipality of Chapala held a week-long Mariachi festival on different days at various locations. I decided to join the festivities one evening at the central plaza in San Antonio Tlayacapan.
Before the music started, there were food vendors around the plaza and new murals that I hadn’t seen before in the evening. Here’s a quick two-minute YouTube short highlighting the evening out.
